Areas of Practice

Iain has over 25 years of experience in dealing with private client matters for individuals from a wide range of backgrounds in a discreet, efficient and empathetic manner.

Iain deals with the preparation of Wills, estate administration (probate), the creation and administration of trusts, Lasting Powers of attorney, tax planning, Court of Protection applications, and advice to the elderly. Iain aims to make the process as simple and stress free as possible when dealing with these sensitive and sometimes emotional matters.

Background

Iain obtained a degree in law from the University of Strathclyde and then completed a post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice also at the University of Strathclyde.

After in working in Scotland and being admitted to the Scottish Law Society in 1984, Iain relocated to London in 1987 to take up a role as a Legal Sub-Editor for Butterworth Books before returning to private practice in 1988. He was admitted to the English Law Society in 1990 and has practiced thereafter in firms in the Greater London area before joining Freedman Green Dhokia in 2016.

Outside Activities

Iain enjoys London’s cultural life and frequently goes to the theater and concerts. As a regular visitor to Italy he enjoys the weather and food but sadly has yet to master the Italian language.
